I have to work Saturday morning, but all I need for relaying the stream is the url.

We could do it in the morning, or even the day before.  If someone's holding a party in SL Friday night, we could try relaying that and seeing how it goes.

I just realized that my wedding gig on April 11 may or may not interfere with the event.  I will get details soon, and I will still do what i can to help out.  I could even rent the stream myself and give the info to someone else to relay.  (There are good cheap streams on SL!)

We could go ahead and test tonight during the cocktail party.  How shall we go about it?

I think we need to set up server relay first and foremost to see if that works ok. (This to increase the max number of listeners). We can ask folks at the party to listen in on the different servers. Then when that is up and running log in to the chat client that Cyan will be using (I believe) on the day and see if that works ok alongside SL. I don't know if it will cause any issues apart from slowing your 'puter down slightly, (maybe).
I shall have to delve into my server client software to see how to set up a relay. If I'm lucky all I will have to do is enter the broadcasting DJ's url and password into my broadcaster.

I just looked at the settings on mine and looks like all I'll need is the url and port number of the server to relay.

Yes, a test during the cocktail party tonight would be great.  It starts at 3pm SLT.

Beach & I did a brief test last week and he had no trouble being in SL, broadcasting music and talking with me in Cyan Chat.

There are three ways to get into Cyan Chat:
via Mibbit (the easiest): http://rel.to/IRC/cyanchat.php  (type your name into the box where it says Guest and click on the box below);
via Nadnerb's relay (heavily censored):  http://nadru.servegame.org:81/  (type your name on the line under Link In and then hit the Link In button);

To relay with Winamp and Shoutcast, play the url of the host with Winamp and use your regular shoutcast settings. And you all can test the relay during my broadcast this evening. You really don't want to broadcast "what you hear" or your soundcard settings because you will pick up all those trucks.
